Tengo ansiedad.

La ansiedad no es una enfermedad, sino un síntoma de que algo no está bien en nuestra vida, probablemente a nivel emocional o personal (con los demás, o con uno mismo). Sería algo así como cuando tienes fiebre, la fiebre es un síntoma, no es una enfermedad en sí misma y hay que averiguar que la ha producido. Para hacerle frente, primero intentaremos calmarla y luego tratamos lo que la causó.

Puede manifestarse en 3 niveles de respuesta:
-A nivel cognitivo: Tendencia a preocuparnos, miedos, amenazas, dificultad para tomar deciosiones, sentirnos inferiores o incapaces, anticiparnos a desgracias futuras…
-A nivel fisiológico: Dificultad para respirar, problemas gástricos, problemas de sueño, genitourinarios, dolores, cefaleas, mareos….
-A nivel motor: Torpeza, tartamudeos, tics….

Es muy importante aprender a detectar los síntomas y experimentarlos sin miedo, así aprenderemos a trabajar en ellos. Entrenar en técnicas de control de la activación es fundamental así como entrenar en detectar aquellas cosas que me preocupan o me asustan.

Hemos de ser constantes y comprometernos con el trabajo de nuestra ansiedad, de ésta manera podremos acceder a éstas herramientas de control de activación cuando estemos en plena crisis.
